We spent the night in Cocoa Beach, on returning from a cruise. I was pleasantly surprised by the kid-friendly restaurants we found in the area.

Salty Sisters is located three blocks off the beach at 24 N. Braford Ave. in Cocoa Beach. Prepare to be blown away once you enter Salty Sisters, as it is the perfect beach retreat!

What Makes Salty Sisters Bar and Grill Special?

I love this restaurant! You pull in and park at what appears to be a one-story strip mall, but you walk into a huge open-air restaurant if you sit outside. The ground is covered in sand, there’s a stage for live music, and lots of spacious picnic tables. There’s a covered space with flower swings and twinkle lights that’s perfect for your social media post. The kids have places to play, the live music was wonderful, and we were able to sit, relax and enjoy a few cocktails in a gorgeous setting.

I consider the Salty Sister’s menu to be the perfect vacation food. Their apps or shareables include nachos and mozzarella sticks, alongside fried green beans and potstickers. The chef also creates specials daily.

Salads are offered with protein, such as chicken, mahi-mahi, smashed burgers (regular or veggie), and pulled pork. They offer a variety of burgers and toppings along with main meals, such as blackened chicken, Caesar wrap, mahi-mahi sandwich, and pastrami sandwich.

Our favorite food at Salty Sisters Bar and Grill is the Tuscan garlic dry rub wings. They are absolutely incredible! My husband and I both had delightful smash burgers for our entrees. For my non-alcoholic friends, they offer Bud Zero and Heineken Zero.

Salty Sisters offers a pretty traditional kids’ menu. There are corn dogs, chicken nuggets, grilled chicken, pulled chicken or pork sandwich, kid-sized Smashburger with cheese, and macaroni and cheese (not Kraft)

Is Salty Sisters Bar and Grill Kid-Friendly?

Oh my goodness, yes! Salty Sisters was the most relaxing meal of our vacation, because our kids were occupied playing. There is a playscape with an outdoor play kitchen, basketball hoop, Little Tykes, roller coaster, and a huge sand area. After dinner, we were able to sit and enjoy the band a little longer as the kids continued to play with other kids they met at Salty Sisters. It truly felt like we were on vacation!

Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar

If you are looking for endless views or easy beach access, Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar on Coca Beach is a must-visit.

Where is Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar?

Located directly on the pier at 401 Meade Ave, Cocoa Beach, Pier 62 is easy to get to with plenty of public parking. There are other restaurants on the pier, as well as shops. You do not have to pay to walk on the pier.

What Makes Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar special?

Location is everything. Pier 62 offers lots of indoor seating with huge windows and endless ocean views. Check out the shops on the pier or step down onto the surrounding beach to make a no-cost afternoon of your visit. The area is clean, safe, and filled with family-friendly exploring. We stayed a couple of miles away and simply made our way to the beach, then walked down to the pier.

Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar Menu

The Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar menu offers fresh seafood, sushi, salads, bowls, and sandwiches. A special section of their menu entitled “beach eats“ includes everything from a Florida gator melt to Dungeness crab.

The restaurant does have a traditional kids’ menu offering the traditional options of cheeseburger, hamburger, hot dog, chicken tenders, and macaroni and cheese (not Kraft for my picky-eaters).

We love the queso at Pier 62. I consider myself a queso connoisseur, and theirs is amazing. The fries are delicious. For my fellow non-alcoholic friends, Pier 62 offers Bud Zero on the beer menu.

Yes! Its beachfront location, gorgeous views, and open-air vibes make Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar a relaxing find that is kid-friendly. Despite visiting on the weekend, we did not have to wait for a table, and the food came out quickly in our experience.

Southern Charm Café

If you are looking for a delightful breakfast stop while visiting Cocoa Beach, check out the Southern Charm Cafe. I legit want to move to Florida so I can be a regular at this place, it is so inviting and has a community feel.

Southern Charm Café is located right in Cape Canaveral at 8501 Astronaut Blvd. This is a quick 10-minute drive up the coast from Cocoa Beach, and worth the drive

What makes Southern Charm Café special?

I found this to be an amazing breakfast in a cozy and inviting restaurant. The space is deceivingly large, so take a risk and get on the waitlist even if it seems long. We thought we were in for quite a long wait, but it was only about 15 minutes. And the food comes fast, so you are in and out pretty quickly once seated. I’m looking forward to visiting again before our next cruise out of Cape Canaveral this year.

The Southern Charm Café Menu

We went to the Southern Charm Café for breakfast, and their menu is enormous. They offer typical breakfast items like eggs, omelettes, and breakfast platters. But they also offer scramblers with fixings mixed in, along with your traditional baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and country favorites, such as biscuits and sausage gravy.

When you visit Southern Charm Café, do yourself a favor and get the cinnamon French toast. It is the perfect cozy breakfast to make your heart happy. My husband’s scrambler bowl with all of his toppings was also a crowd-pleaser.

Southern Charm Café Kids’ Menu

The Southern Charm Café Kids menu is for children 10 years and under. It offers smaller portions of their breakfasts, such as one egg with bacon or sausage and toast. They do offer Mickey pancakes there, which are a big hit with my kids.

Is Southern Charm Café Kid-Friendly?

Absolutely. The servers asked my kids for their own orders and were very patient with their answers. Southern Charm Cafe decorations include lots of signs with different sayings, and my kid loved reading them all while choosing their favorites. Super bonus- The sheriff’s canine unit was there having breakfast and gave them fist bumps.
